will-future - function

how you build the will-future:

positive and negative statements:

will + infinitive –> ‘ll + infinitive     (+)

will not + infinitive –> won’t + infinitive         (-)

ususally the short form “won’t” is more often used than “will not” to negate sentences.

      e.g. I will play.

             You’ll sleep.

             She won’t find.

             They will not go.

questions:

The auxiliary verb “will” is swapped by the subject and is put at the beginning of the question.

      e.g. Will I work?

             Will he work?

             Won’t you work?

             Won’t they work?
